We offer weekly hula hoop instructional dance and fitness classes for girls and boys at participating schools. Hula hoop dance provides children with a fun and healthy form of exercise and creative expression. Spin Happy hula hoop classes include a variety of tricks, games and exercises intended to develop balance, hand eye coordination, core strength and cardiovascular endurance. Students will be introduced to basic hooping moves and tricks such as on body and off body hooping, isolations, the vortex, lasso, and the revolving door. Each class will begin with a fun warm up and stretch before jumping into tricks and moves. Students will also create a personalized dance hula hoop to take home and practice their new moves. Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing is recommended. No dangly earrings or jewelry permitted. Leggings or stretchy pants are recommended. Normal athletic shoes are sufficient.
Intro to Hula Hoop for Adults
Want to learn to hoop dance but don't know where to start? Start here! Spin Happy students will be introduced to basic hoop moves such as waist hooping, hand hooping, passing, Lasso, and The Vortex. Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing is recommended. Please remove dangly earrings or jewelry to avoid possible injury. Leggings or stretchy pants are recommended. Normal athletic shoes are sufficient. An adult sized professional dancing hoop will be required to get the maximum benefit from hooping.
Spin Fit

Hula hooping is a great way to burn some calories while learning a fun, new skill. This class focuses on building cardiovascular endurance, strength and toning muscles. A basic knowledge of hula hoop dance will be required to maximize the benefits of taking this class.
